Has anyone had this happen to their 4.7 screen? It has happened a few times where the bottom of the menu just pops up to the top and cuts off part of the image. The only fix has been to reset. It happens in the middle of recording.

Yes this issue with the 4.7 has popped up on Reduser a couple times. File a support ticket using RED.com send them this pic and the log file that was created while you were shooting.

I've had this exact problem and was advised by RED support to try changing my screen refresh rate from 60hz to 30hz. Since switching to 30hz I have not had this problem.

Hope this helps!

Thanks Spencer. I will give that a try. Has it ever effected the footage you shot? Didn't seem to for me as far as I can tell.

For me the issue did not effect recording at all. Although it does make framing difficult because you can't see the top portion of the image. And of course the weird part is trying to access the menu while this screen issue occurs, because all though the position of the UI is off the keys on the touch screen are not remapped. So you still hit the top upper right location to access the menu and so on. All the mapping stays the say.

When it happend to me the last time I went through the menu and switched the refesh to 30hz and then the problem went away.

And even though the refresh rate is must less at 30hz (which may make paning the camera left and right appear choppy) it has not impeded me much as I mainly use the monitor for menu and framing reference.

Awesome thanks for the help. Same here, it never messed up what was recorded and luckily I was using another monitor as well so I was still able to see the full shot for framing. I will change the refresh rate and hope that does the trick. Thanks again.

Just curious about something... did either of you guys have your monitors on (I'm assuming you did) when upgrading the firmware? The camera may have a fix for your probs but has to go through a complete firmware update to update any and all peripherals.
