Screen Grabs from 'Dublin Guitar Quartet'

[Piers McGrail]

Hi guys,

Here are a few grabs from I small project I shot over the weekend - a live performance by The Dublin Guitar Quartet. Shot on a M Red with a 35mm Superspeed.

Still loving the old sensor here

I'm about to start working on a project with similar kit. While doing some research I came across this post and just wanted to say that the visual look beautiful!

Cheers,

[Piers McGrail]

Thanks Jack! Very simple really, just the two lenses and a small lighting package (a skirted Chinaball above them, a couple of parcans bounced into poly for subtle backlight, and a single dimmed par to add some shape to the background).

Also made good use of the new colour science! Best of luck with your project,

Piers

Hey hey, finally they have released one of the pieces which we shot for this. Looks like they didn't grade it, but still happy with how it looks.

[Giuseppe Pugliese]

what lenses were used?

[Piers McGrail]

A single 35mm SuperSpeed.

Very elegant understated work. Love the music too. Thanks for sharing.

Awesome job! Love the camera work.

Thanks a million! Worth noting that it was just a two man crew aswell. Myself and the director who also gripped.

Nice work, Piers. Philip Glass is a great composer.
