So i upgraded from the Scarlet about a month ago and since using my EPIC, i've had problems with the screen starting to flicker. I thought it might be the cable but i tried a second cable and it was fine. It usually starts when i come back from powersave mode and other times it will just start after a few hours on set. There is no specific temp that triggers it.

Anyone have a clue what it is?

It might be related to the battery power level becoming a bit lower after time passes. The fluctuating power demands of the camera may be stealing the power from the monitor just a bit when the voltage is down. I experience something similar with the SI2K if I am using a 12VDC source ( car battery ) or a power supply which is a bit low, or a battery is well down. The P+S camera body prefers a higher voltage.

I regard it as a warning. If I leave it too long, the power supply load-sheds the monitor, apparently to save the recording. The viewfinder remains active. Is your viewfinder flickering as well. If it is possible, maybe power the monitor from another source and see if the flicker goes away. I have that option. Maybe you don't. Please heed far more than mine, the comments of others here.
