I just received my Scarlet-X #704 on Friday, I've since had time to play with it over the last couple of days.

One of the things I'm noticing is that, when I hold down the side-handle trigger (just barely to toggle the autofocus) or touch on the screen to auto focus, my lens will rack and the screen will flicker for just a brief second (Like it gets brighter all of the sudden) then just goes back to normal.......It does not do this while recording and I'm autofocusing however.

Is anyone else experiencing this issue?

I do not have a Scarlet (yet) but the same thing is done on the Canon, the camera changes the exposure only temporarily so that it can have more light and make it easier to focus accurately.

Gotcha, yeah it just seemed to cause a glitchy look on the screen but only on the image portion so I just wanted to double check.....you never know.

Thanks guys.
