I've edited a film in Avid MC 4.0.5. All files were transcoded with Metafuze to DnxHD36, I Also exported an ALE from metafuze for relinking.
It was shot on 24fps (not 23.976) and edited on a 1080 24p Project.

I have finished editing and exported an EDL for grading and the Scratch operator is telling me that the EDL is no confirming as it should, that the EDL has different timecode that the clips he has.
I came back to my Avid sequence to see if I can export with TOD TC and figured that that metadata is not present on the clips.
Any Idea how could I fix this?
Thanks in advance.
Agustin

This is a bit hard to troubleshoot from a distance, but this should work.
I've done two features this way (except I did not use the ALE).

MetaFuze uses the TOD, not any other TC that's in the Red files.

Which version of MetaFuze did you use? In older versions, you needed to set the Camroll as the source tape (in EDL Manager) in order to get things right. Also, for a 24p sequence, you need to set the MTC to 24.

Hi Job, thanks for the help.
I used Metafuse v2.1.1
In older versions, you needed to set the Camroll as the source tape (in EDL Manager) in order to get things right. Also, for a 24p sequence, you need to set the MTC to 24.

Camroll and Tape has the same information,
What fo you mean by MTC to 24?
I've sent a new EDL with standard CMX3600 template, and duplicated the tape column to the name column on all masterclips, to see is that Helps Scratch find the correct clips.
I'll let you know how it goes.
Any other hint would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks again.
Agustin.

In EDL Manager, just above the list window, you can choose the source and record timecodes.

Have you used burnins?

Will check what you mention about EDL manager.
Unfortunatelly I didn´t use Burnins.
Tomorrow I´ll let you know.

With Scratch you can switch between TOD and edge code so this shouldn't be a problem.

Hi Ido, thanks for the help. Could you please tell me where do yo change which TC read?
Do you do it on whant conforming the EDL o before laoading it?

Thanks.

Hi Lukas, I'll tell de sctatch operator to contact support. I asked here because as I don't have access to a Scratch and looks like an EDL problem I thought this was the correct forum.
Cheers.
