SCI FI, FEMALE LEAD, TIMETRAVEL, first time shooting on RED

Hey everyone,

This is going to be my first time shooting on the RED as a director. This is a super cool project I've been in pre-production on for 1.5 years. Here's the link we launched a kickstarter. Now before you roll your eyes check it out. It's about Time-Travel. Insurance companies that time travel. With the articles about the NSA and surveillance, and Obamacare coming into play, this could become a very relevant topic. We have a very elaborate story, in the vein of PRIMER, and 12 Monkeys, and really have taken our time. More on the link below

We have a RedOne Mx donated to the project, and will have 7 days of principle, and approximately 1,000 (if we can get some support, #showlove) through kickstarter for Camera Dept.


What are your guys' recommendations on lenses? We have old nikon photography glass for days, but my DP is adamant they will be a waste of a RED.

Any suggestions? Also feel free to give me feedback on the video.

Any help with finding blogs/coverage/support for this campaign would be much appreciated, and I'm eager to do the RED justice and make a great sci fi on time-travel. Too much work has gone into it now not to. #loveofthegame

Nikon glass is great. What lenses are you planning to use?

We were thinking of renting red primes, but my DP said the old nikon glass has really disgusting blur artifacts which he showed me on a 5d, and he maintained would look bad blown up on the big screen.
