Has anyone given the relatively new Schneider Radiant Soft filters a try yet? There isn't much out there in terms of samples, observations, or opinions besides the standard press release information from Schneider. Has anyone tried them and can recommend a strength range? How do they compare to Glimmerglass?

Thank you for sharing those links, Rand.

I'm still hoping to find some footage or stills that are quality examples of what this filter set can do, as well as any personal anecdotal accounts.

Here's my take. I like a "dirty" image. The Radiant Soft certainly helped open up shadows, and there wasn't as much blooming in highlights. However, that's just not my preference. I like the Hollywood Black Magic and Digicon's for what they do to "dirty" a digital image a bit. Some people prefer to add that "dirtiness" in post. That's fair.

I only got to test the filters with a log image with a REC-709 LUT applied on a few cameras in a demo setting. I have no idea how they'll do with any further color corrections or exposure changes.

I dig the look of these, hope they will release circular screw on filtesr as well, as mattebox is not for every setup.

If you need to TEST any 4x5.65 Schneider Filters ., I got them all, come to my office and do a test.
