Here's a little known, custom piece of gear we've been using for over a year...from SCHNEIDER.
A custom, 80mm Clamp on Shade, with a 77mm thread.
Total cost is under $300, and we use it ALL THE TIME.
If you have a lot of 77mm screw in filtration (like we do), then this def comes in handy for clamping filters on and off quickly during a lens change.
Schneider was nice enough to MOD their standard 80mm clamp on shade (with 82mm thread) to 77mm to accommodate our needs...and it comes on set with us now every day!
