One more suggestion to the team:
I heard that in the RED ONE there's a function that you could dial in a "video look" for your output signal or LCD viewing that could be saved and then used as reference for the Raw management process in post.
What I suggest is for the RED team to implement some sort of PRESET scene files ( like the HVX) that would have different looks tested by the talented RED team that would work for different situations, not unlike, once again, what Panasonic did for the HVX/HPX, for example:
scene file 1- TV BROADCAST STANDARD
Scene File 2- SPORTS EXTERIOR
SCENE FILE 3- SPORTS INTERIOR
SCENE FILE 4- TV DINAMIC
SCENE FILE 5- BROADCAST NIGHT
CINEMA SCENE FILES
1- CINE 1- Highest Dinamic Range for film out (Like CIne-D for HVX)
Cine 2- Punchy colors and acceptable dinamic range (like Panny's cine V)
Cine 3, 4, 5,6- DIfferent Looks, ala Magic Bullet, like Bleach Bypass, Matrix look, Car Commercial look, etc.
Well, you guys get the idea. This could go immediately to the Proxies files, and be an option to be added on the RAW processing. That way, we shooters knew what we were getting while shooting and would avoid some post CC time if we needed fast deliveries...
Anyway, keep up the revolution!
