  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

I just realized. You actually enjoy all of it. The anger, sadness, anticipation, euphoria that You get from the posters (and also the readers only) here on the forum.
Why?
RED team has found a way to feed on the wide spectrum of emotional energy from the posters.
This wast energy enables you to produce these incredible cameras.
 
Got to say, I was starting to doubt the long wait, as I'm sure many did. But this really reassures me that it was all worth it!

Can't wait for Nov 3rd! This is the most exciting news of the year for sure!!!!!!!!!!!

Jim, we don't expect much of a fight. If you wanted to open up pre-orders, I would not hesitate to put my money on scarlet before the cards are dealt. I just hope when Jarred said it will be released this year, I hope he means that there will be enough for everyone this year!

Amazing news Jarred! I just can't wait.. but now, we are so close.. so close to one of the most inovative, small-package 3K camera that can change the world of equipment that for example film students uses now.. thank you for that! :-) I think I'll jump in for the first time!
 
all the camera companies thought that 4k or 35mm size sensors were reds secret weapons. but they are way off base. it has always been redcode. the backend on the DSLR is horrible. always has been. if they could connect a decent back end without line skipping to a 5d mark II it would have been a very serviceable cinema camera. canon lenses are great.

Stage 1 : REDONE owners who didn't want an EPIC?
Stage 2 : EPIC owners who want a Scarlet as a 'B' cam
Stage 3 : Anyone else get your order in the moment you can and stand in line!

Cost : I figure less than an F3 but more than a FS100 or AF101 - around $10 - 12,000 for a complete kit?
