Scarlet

.......

That's Russian, mate.

They're similar, but not quite the same. The Russians came later...

Bulgarian:

...

Mm-yeah...

... My place.

8 years russian, 4 years english (school), 3 years french and plenty of others as a living requirement. All in all 4 fluent (English, Spanish, Slovak and Czech) with 2 intermediate (French and Russian) and few more basic communication level (German, Portuguese, Japanese, Polish and Latin).

That is what 15 years in the industry and 50+ countries does to You...

(But it is only Russian that gives me goosebumps...)

:).

:shifty:

You rock Karapetkov!

If You are serious about traveling the Latino America - we could plan something together once Scarlets are out - it would be perfect doco camera and I am sure we can make a great doco script in the meantime. Altho I am not sure about the bicycles - motorbikes maybe, I have even though about doing it in a car as a part (or pilot) for our new car/travel TV series. Little late for a pilot, but it would be great grand finale for the first season!

If You are game - PM me...

Although I find it entertaining, I'm beginning to think this thread needs to be unstuck and retitled.

Haha.

You too, Peter.

I mispelled the title :).

I was referring to this movie "Diarios de motocicleta", which tells about the early Che, but I guess you understood the joke.

I'm a great fan of bicycles, but you're right: South America is one big place and motorcycles are more appropriate ;).

I like Mexican cinema very much.

It could become a really interesting run-and-gun documentary, "following the steps of the Che" or something like that, comparing how things were in his time, and how things are now, problems, people, culture...

SudAmerica is hot! :)

But we have to see when... cause - a lot of things to do in life...

But we can do it.

One day...

Salud!

...

Haha, Terry,

It's becoming like the Babylon Tower here ;).

Scarlet brings cultures closer....

I much prefer reading the exchange between you and Peter than reading Finner's junior high putdowns that get dismissed as someone who's "having fun".

You know, I just read this whole thread and had a couple of thoughts.

The first: I hope one day David Lynch will be as famous as Finner so he can remake INLAND EMPIRE on an arriflex... you know, so he could be considered a professional.

The second: No reservations? I really don't want this to end up like the Wii shortages. Is RED prepared to manufacture up to demand so there won't be serious frustration? .. Especially for those of us who are planning projects around its release?

(And please don't give me crap for the last statement, because I planned a doc before the DVX was released, waited for the release, shot it... Planned several shorts before the HVX was released, and it all turned out ok. I think the "industry" people forget that not everyone is under deadlines, and under those circumstances I think it is perfectly fine to plan around new equipment. Ahem... steadicam/The Shining.)

That's some damn good coffee you got here...

It was MEXICAN who first designed the concept of color TV, such as the one You are watching your Baywatch re-runs on...

But hey - Ignorance (and arrogance) is a bliss... :matrix:

Guillermo González Camarena invented a color wheel projector 1941. several other people around the world also invented mechanical color "televisions" (ie John Logie Baird in 1928 and Bell Laboratories in 1929).
