Hey guys,

I just wanted to share a Behind the Scenes look at the RED SCARLET-X in action on an airfield.

We had a great opportunity to do some work for a company in aviation and got the clearance to share video of us in action.

Words cannot express how much fun I'm having with the SCARLET-X. I come from the DSLR realm, so the dynamic range is amazing. You can see the HUGE grin on my face in the video. Yeah....that's right. The same grin I've had since getting the camera.

Thanks!

Congrats! Looks like you guys are having a lot of fun :)

Thanks for posting!

Thanks Rob.

It is soooooo much fun. We have more footage we want to share but have so much work to get to.

I love filming, and with the SCARLET, I love it even more....which I didn't think was possible. I have so much energy because of this camera. I never sleep, and when I do, the dreams are about RED and my next shots.

I spoke with Brian at RED and I should actually extend my thanks to him since he was VERY helpful towards me during the 300 Event and the Open House of REDucation. :)

Roy,

If you're using an iPad or iPhone to view, then the embed doesn't work. I'll re-edit the original post to include the link.

FYI vimeo now has universal embed code that detects mobile browsers and will play in HTML5 if needed... I use this all the time. You may have to check a box somewhere to enable it, but it's very useful.

jealous, nice work!

Hey guys,

Below are some of the screen shots straight from SCARLET I'm allowed to show from our shoot at the airfield. they are straight out of Apple Pro Res 422. Sorry guys, I am not able to upload the R3D files, so hopefully these will do for now.

@Dave. We are having a blast with SCARLET. I absolutely LOVE shooting with this camera. It makes it VERY hard to go back to DSLR.

@Trevor. Thanks for the tip. I'll look into that when embedding. I usually use the QUICK REPLY format, so I don't use the HTML tags, but I'll do that from now on.
