Scarlet-X firmware issues

Hi there,

I tried to upgrade the firmware on a Scarlet-x and I am now worried I have messed it up. I do not have the knowledge to figure out what the camera is doing...

At first the side handle wouldnt work so I followed the information here : https://support.red.com/hc/en-us/articles/225255907-DSMC-Module-Errors

It hasn't helped the side handle issue and now the camera is running the fan at speed and also the monitor (SMALL HD) keeps going black periodically.

Anyone know what I could try to resolve the issue? I dont want to keep messing around and make it worse...

Any help would be REALLY appreciated!!

Update, the side handle is communicating with the camera again but I still can't see the menu on the monitor. So still can't control the camera.

By default the HDMI monitor has the menus set to Auto Hide. Try pressing the MENU button on the Side Handle (the button up and to the left of the directional keypad) - this should bring up the Menus. Once you have control you can disable Auto Hide Menus on the HDMI monitor here:
Menu > Monitoring > Monitors > HDMI
