Hello!
I just bought a new red scarlet x and found some strange thing. After the turning on the cooling system works low (not noisy, low rpm). After a few minutes it turns much louder and i think its ok since the camera start getin warmer. The strange thing to me is when i start recording the rps goes lower again. So actually the camera is more noisy when its in standby mode ( i mean not recording) and it drops the rpm lower on coolin when it records. Is it normal?:)

Many tanks,
Anton

yes that's normal. fan speed goes down while recording so as not to mess your audio, then once you stop recording it comes on sounding like the unholy hairdryer of Thor to get rid of the heat you built up while recording.

Not strange. You can set the camera to do get quieter while recording sacrificing cooling performance. And when you are back to standby it tries to cool down the camera as quickly as possible.

Have a look into the menu and the manual, there are a few smart options to set cooling performance exactly as you need/want it. ;)

Use adaptative mode quiet record set to 70 you ll have the best recording experience. You still can improove the cooling and noise level by using the FanPlate.
