  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

What do I need to attach a handle to the ScarletX, I also will be using the 5in Lcd and the DSMC side handle.

Considering calling RED is about like trying to call god (never any response), what is the benefit to getting the titanium one instead of the aluminum? I mean is it just as obvious as I am thinking, that the titanium one is stronger and more durable, or is there something else here I'm not considering? I really don't know anything about this lol. I just want to order whatever makes sense...
 
My understanding was that the titanium mount was also much more resistant to changes in temperature and much more durable. I think the TI ones ship sooner as well.

It also looks cool.
 
Thanks guys, well yeah there is something to be said about it being cool. People think that's useless but if I have a client who paid a lot of money let's say to fly me to a shoot for corporate work or a commercial, and I come with something like the Scarlet-X instead of an HVX200, I think it makes a difference. It's all about perceived value. Never is that more clear than when we deliver a great product, but the client was unease with our cinematographer and didn't love his attitude, so they don't feel as good about the shoot. We've had others where they loved the shooter, I thought the footage was pretty solid but not that good, and they are still really happy with it. There is a lot more to pleasing clients than just reality, it's a lot perception.

I'm curious haha... what are you thinking of adding to your Scarlet for 1k? More than just labels I'm assuming?
