Scarlet X #731

[Erik Vanlenten]

So excited to have our little monster in, #731 landed in central florida two days ago. We got our side handle and screen with the body. No name yet.

So happy to be part of the reduser family!

We put some redvolts in the handle and went out and shot all the resolutions and frame rates. I am really in love with this thing, so much potential in this little metal box. 4k is amazing, 3k is great, 2k still needs a little bit of work but is very useable. We also shot 12fps in 5k, and I must say I was thinking music video as soon as I saw it.

Thanks to RED and all the fellow redusers for all the help, insight, and inspiration.

Thanks Daniel, I was just in your neck of the woods last friday shooting a music video in the state theater. Give me a shout out if you ever need a hand on your productions.

Yes, we didn't order a package. Just the brain/ssd/mount combo and than separate side handle and screen orders. Don't know if that made a difference?

[Darius Lyles]

Hey Erik I would love to see some 12fps 5K footage.

Congrats Erik ! What's that lens on the photo ?

"Erika" would be a nice name for her. You guys are pretty happy together...

[Arnold F.]

I'm really looking forward to seeing videos of taking it out of the box.

"Erika" sounds good to me
The lens in the pic is a crappy stock lens from a 7D kit. The IS works great, and even though it's a crappy lens it looked great.
