My girlfriend left to go back to school across the country last Monday...this came the next day...perfect timing.

Still waiting on the side handle, canon mount and 17-50 so I haven't been able to shoot yet.

Congrats!

Out of curiosity (and wanting to know about every tidbit to expect when I receive mine), what's that paper in the plastic bag? Warranty?

great replacement.
Jesse, which handle are you using and what other piece is needed to assemble it the way you have?

I don't think I'd be able to stand the wait time having the camera and no lens. I'd be out borrowing some PL glass. :-)

I am using the Wooden Camera Top Handle Cheese. I wasn't sure how I would feel about the handle without a rubber grip on it, but it is actually really great. I've been carrying the camera around even though I can't shoot yet, and the handle is quite easy to hold on to. I'm excited to attach some accessories to it. That is attached to the Wooden Camera Easy Stick which is attached to the camera. Odds are I will switch the LCD from where it is on the handle to the easy stick depending on what type of shooting I am doing.

It's such a pain. Just a tease. My buddy has some PL glass but he just got back from LA so I'm waiting to go try it out at his place, soon I hope.

Looks like a tight fit with the battery and the handle, at least in these photos... i'm looking for a similar setup, do I need some kind of riser for the handle?

It is a tight fit, I kind of like how compact it makes it. I have the top handle sitting on top of the easy stick which makes it fit just perfectly. If it wasn't on something I think it may hit the battery plate.

Surely this cannot replace her jesse:).

Nice stuff though! If you ever want to go out and shoot I can bring my 17-50. Even if you can't use it atleast its here. Happy shooting!

Nice, now I'm not the only one with a Scarlet in Hamilton!

I know what "friend" you're referring to with PL lenses Jesse... that's gotta be my cousin Chris Stacey ;)

I'm still waiting on the sidehandle too

M

Seeing all these pictures of Scarlets arriving all over the place is not making the wait any less painful!;P At least i know I will have my accessories before the cam arrives, as the LCD,ssd, batteries, charger etc. are on their way. Just missing camerabody;)

It is indeed your cousin Chris. I think he's swinging by today to put in my red rocket card and do some testing with one of his lenses. I'm pretty pumped!

How do you like your 17-50?

The 17-50 is super nice. You have one coming your way? It's a great range with the crop factor. 28-85 or somewhere around there.

Congrats man, I bet you're dying to try it out with a lens... I feel your pain

I do have one coming in, I can't wait. I have the Ti canon mount coming too which will be nice, I have lots of EF glass. Let me know if you ever want to do a double scarlet shoot, that would be wild!
