  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Hello everyone! I am just moved to a new production house and we have a Red Scarlet mysterium X. I was told it was upgraded from 4.1 to 5. Then downgraded to 2.0 since it was having some hiccups. Unfortunately I cannot do a factory reset by holding the Power button down till the falls crank high and the light is a orangish amber color. Any suggestions other than sending it in? I have tried to force upgrade but it just doesn't seem to want to corroperate. Thanks in advance, and hopefully this was the correct thread to post in.

Downgrading to 2.0 wasn't a good idea, you probably have to send it in.

From the txt-file in the zip of 5.3.33:

"You cannot downgrade an SCARLET MYSTERIUM-X to earlier than v5.1.67, v5.2.38 or v5.3.16 after upgrading to v5.3.33."

Try upgrading back to 5.1.67 or later.

I'd suggest that you need to do a stepped upgrade... this way, you might find that you can slowly move up to subsequent firmwares.

So, find a mid 2x upgrade, if that takes, go to a 3x upgrade and then onto 4 etc.

A while ago I suggested this to an Epic owner who was having trouble going to a higher firmware (with a big jump between firmware versions).
