  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Anyone know why there is no separate Scarlet W tab in the main forum page? instead of mixing scarlet and scarlet W posts?

There's one separate for each camera.

Actually, the whole reduser's parts should be rearranged.
Not only DSMC1 and DSMC² subforums...

I'd just group the weapon 8k/woven/magnum/scarlet together. They are all just one button click away from each other now and work the same. I would like though a moderated area for guest cinematographers/directors/colorist/dits to answer questions on using the weapon in high quality productions (i.e. A no BS area for people to get more definitive answers from people that are using dsmc2 in A level productions ).

I was thinking that way at first, but I fear with time, it could be confusing. Users will not be the same for Scarlet-W and Woven 8k which can lead to misinformation, repeated posts...
The area you are talking about is supposed to be Cinematography ? But maybe a Masterclass section in it ? Especially with Panavision DXL coming, there should be more high level DP speaking, I hope.

Anyway, no answer from Red yet, so...

Might take some extra moderating and verification...but it does make sense to me. I think a great example is Adam Bricker, the DP of Chef's Table, who posted lighting diagrams, responded to great questions, and generally is giving back! Thread I'm referencing is here.
