While waiting for my Scarlet-W, I purchased the RED Power cable from DJI which is essentially a P-Tap to LEMO Cable and the Power Distributor. It's advertised that this will enable the Ronin's Lipo battery to power both the Ronin & RED simultaneously.

I just finally dusted off my Ronin and balanced the new DSMC2 body but it definitely doesn't power up the DSMC2 body with Base Expander whether it's connected to the Ronin or not.

Has anyone had luck using this cable system on a new DSMC2 body and Base expander? Am I doing something wrong?

These are the two items that claim to make it happen:

Thank you,

Scott

The distributor has been working well for me. I get about 40-45 minutes with the original Ronin battery, and close to an hour on the new, higher capacity ones.

on the DSMC2 body? Are you just plugging the LEMO into the DC-IN on the base expander and it's powering Up? Nothing to switch on or off?

I'm using a Raven. The LEMO into DC In on the Expander and the D-Tap into one of the two ports on the DJI Distributor. It works whether the Distributor is attached to the Ronin or not. I'm currently using Wooden Camera's version of the power cable - longer and more flexible, but the same otherwise.

i am probably stating the obvious but is the battery on?

I am running the distributor / ronin battery and i have forgotten to turn the batt on a few times

Scott has that specific cable / distributor ever worked on any camera? ( possible bad cord or distributor) if your close enough to someone with a red i would try to see if it works ( i am in LA i see your south) . I have powered my camera the exact same way you showed and it works. I have a differnt I/O expander however ( no switch) and it has a light to indicate power is hot

Here is what I'm doing. Tried with the little star filled and not filled on the Base expander.

Scott, is there no green light coming on next to the DC connector on the V-Mount module? It does on mine when connected to the battery, even prior to powering up the camera itself.

Looks like you may have a bad cable. I'm in Encinitas if you want to try my cable and/or Distributor to get to the bottom of it.
