I just updated to the newest Build firmware: 6.3.101

First job with it, I was shooting 2k Prores only and started getting the Proxy Buffer Overflow error after 5-6mins of shooting. It's odd because I just did a job with the same rig shooting long Prores takes all day without this happening.

Anyone else had this issue?

Yeah, I did that after the firmware update.

There's also a little workaround. It seems to happen when shooting in 4K HD, and if you switch to just 4K then the error doesn't return. So just 4K full frame. Not sure if it's for all resolutions, but just read a post in a Raven forum where they squashed the bug by doing this. Worked simultaneously on all 3 Ravens which all replicated both the problem and solution together. Worth a shot of secure format isn't working every time.

Hmmm, I had it set up in 5k HD (shooting Prores only) which is what I had done without issue before the new firmware. I'll investigate. Hopefully, they'll release the build version of the newest firmware with all the new goodies soon and this won't be a problem.

Quick follow up: I tried again at 5k HD. Got the proxy overflow once and a weird camera shutdown another time. Switched to 5k FF and it seems to be working normally. Very Strange.

Is it shooting at wider than 16x9 when you are 5k FF (in Prores 422 HQ)?

Anyone have any other thoughts on this? Shooting Prores is such a useful thing on certain jobs.

I had a few issues with this but haven't tested since the new firmware. I was also shooting 5k HD when it happened. I also cut once at about 4-5 minutes and never stopped writing the clip. Yellow circle in the top right stayed on for at least 15 minutes before I had to do a hard shutdown. Lost half the clip.
