Been on vacation lately... haven't heard anything more on the production of these bad boys?
Are they coming out in a bunch like Jarred said they would a couple of months ago?

I'm forever waiting on mine still. (RED EUROPE)

From what I've seen in the past is cameras usually get shipped out at the end the third or fourth week of the month. So wait till till Thursday and see if you see any up dates if people have gotten shipping notices. Since I've been a member that patern has stood ou to me.

Yes. They seem to be going out much faster now. We ordered a S-W in April and got it back in October directly from RED.

Well, Brent got some RED love. Good on you, Brent!

We ordered on December 10, 2015.

No RED yet.

So, your mileage will vary.

For me, I'm about 90% of the mind "screw this".

I failed to find the logic on this matter, how on earth people with early orders still haven't receive their camera while some other on later order have received them??
I suppose something must be messing around with RED's order management system.. I mean, queue line should be consecutive right?

I have been waiting patiently almost 11 months for SW. Got alocation on 30th October 2016. Payed the same day. It has been almost 2 months from alocation and camera still not here. Talked to my EU dealer and it seems like no SW come to europe since december. Any of you guys in europe recieved their camera in last 2 months???
Waited so long never complain about it, but now i am getting nervous!

Thats no good. Hope you get it soon Jan. Hopefully RED give us a bit more info soon. For people like myself who've only paid deposit it still sucks but no ones got a gun to my head. I could get that refunded anytime, just love red cameras so ill wait. But to pay in full and be left waiting for that long is not good. I think its awesome how red have come out and said "we fucked up", but they need to go to town helping out peoplw in your position. Hopefully someone sees this and they can provide you with more detailed info... and get you a camera asap. Best of luck

this will never happen but worth asking as the people at red are pretty crazy:)

I have a dragon senser in my Scarlet - could they at discounted rate just do a body upgrade?

or better yet do a helium scarlet?

by the time people gets this camera it is going to be so old, as in the senser, still great but very old

might be time to Let it go

Let it go. Let it go. Can't hold it back... sorry. (But I'm keeping mine)

Frozen!
LOL

I'll be keeping mine too! Dragon sensor is not that "old" or outdated just because Helium or any new one is out, just look at how ARRI doing just fine with their "old" & upscaled 3.2K sensor Alexa ALEV III all this time!
Nowadays it's not about the camera anymore, it's how we use it really..

when did the dragon senser get released? is it not 4 or 5 years ago

i still love my scarlet D but with the delay the SW is looking ? able.

I'll have to make the call when my number comes up i guess.

"Nowadays it's not about the camera anymore, it's how we use it really.." ok:)

There is truth in there, though. The lighting and certainly composition make MUCH more of an impact than the camera in most cases. And lenses can make a huge difference.

We're at a point where there's a lot of capable cameras, if you're not lazy, and you take the time to shoot in log or Raw and learn how to color grade (no excuse not to know that, anymore- Resolve and training are free). And remember that old shoot-out between RED and DSLRs, and how a lot of industry people couldn't tell the difference IF the scene was very well-lit, etc.? On top of that, other manufacturers are catching up in a lot of ways, not to RED's level, but... close enough for a lot of projects where people say "damn, that RED looks GREAT!" and I tell them "no, actually that one was XXX".

What I like RED most for these days is when things aren't perfect on set, it gives me a bit more options to fix some things. Sometimes.

you can make an iPhone look fresh with great lighting its true but as an investment is a dragon senser a good move with innovations in senser tech that even red are up on themselves. yes Sensors are the new stock i get it

My scarlet has not stoped working just because helium came out, good lighting, good production will always prevail period:)

the question i'm asking myself and i'm sure a few others are thinking , with the delay is it a good investment?

I'm sure i will end up doing it:)

to give you an idea , me and another guy on red user have been alocated the same exact day and we paid same day too... 1 month later I got mine and from what he told me he is still waiting..... alocated and paid on 12/05/16
