  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Scarlet W and Premiere

It would be a good idea to contact Adobe directly. Start a ticket and see where it goes.

Could be a pissin contest via Adobe. Could be nothing. Who knows. Either way we shouldn't worry. I'm sure there will be a fix soon. Meantime we just adapt and keep on moving forward. I know it sucks but, I mean really, we're problem solvers. From light to talent to location to weather, we solve it all. This is minor compared to what we deal with on a regular basis. Piece of cake brother.

true that :)

Off topic a bit, but Scarlet-W's files are playing well with FCPX? I like how FCPX handles Dragon files... minus the occasional glitch.

Curious if anyone is having trouble roundtripping from Premiere to Davinci? I cut a music video in Premiere with the in camera quicktimes and then did an XML in Davinci 12.5. I ignored file extensions and selected the Folder with all the footage in it and it wouldn't conform to the R3D's. Ended up having to force conform each clip one by one. Someone told me to just bring the R3ds into the media pool but in the end its the same amount of work since the quicktimes are in the same folder as the R3D's and you would need to separate one by one.

Looks like today's Creative Cloud update resolved these issues! I don't have any Scarlet-W footage to test, though. I'm sure someone else can chime in and confirm.

Oh yeah, it's up and running now. Haven't had a chance to mess around too much but was able to import Raven footage into Premiere and make adjustments in the master settings panel.

I don't have red camera yet but i have tried sample footage from red.com it works perfectly
