I'm a Scarlet-x owner here and after the announcement of the Scarlet-w I saw this as the perfect time to upgrade.
I decided to keep my Scarlet-x package as a B camera or for jobs that cannot afford the newer model, and am going to slowly build each one out as a separate package.
I'm trying to figure out exactly what will be able to be used with both cameras and what I still need to buy in order to get a rentable Scarlet-w ready to go out on jobs. I decided to go with the package deal of the Scarlet-w, so I am starting with the following:
SCARLET-W BRAIN w/ integrated media bay
DSMC Canon Mount – Aluminum
DSMC² OLPF w/ Case
DSMC² Base I/O V-Lock Expander
DSMC AC POWER ADAPTOR
RED MINI-MAG - 120GB
DSMC² RED Touch 4.7" LCD
DSMC² Universal Handle
I know I will need additional media, a reader, my Vmount batteries can carry over, as will my PL mount. I will probably want to get an adapter so I can use my 7" touch. It is also my understanding that I can still use my 15mm LW support from WC. Will my WC Easy top plate be able to be used? If not then, what are my options for a top cheese plate? Looks like I will also need a new LCD cable to use a NOGA arm with my monitor...
What other accessories are you guys planning on buying to complete your kits?
