can we all have 1 if felix is no show?
i slammed my thumb in a car door and currently on codeine so i opt out ... but still trying to hang in there
This picture cracks me up.... I mean the whole point was that the camera is small and that it can go places that other camera couldn't....but if you're going to mount it on a heavy Sachtler head with a Fisher style dolly and all the other add-ons, they might as well have used a RED camera.....:sifone:
1) Is the 2/3 still on target ahead of the S35
2) Is the focal length of the 2/3 fixed solidified yet
3) Are there new features coming not previously discussed on the 2/3 brains?
4) How much difference in dynamic range should the 2/3 have in comparison with epic (13.5)
5) Will the read/reset of the 2/3 be on par with the epic (5ms)
6) Any news on the telephoto / wide angle adapters for the 2/3?
7) Will there be some sort of 'basic package' available for the 2/3 cinema or S35?
8) Does the fixed 2/3 package come in a nice case or is this something we should have made (ie Pelican)
9) Have the 2/3 or Epic been tested yet with Canon or Nikon lens?
10) Can we PLEASE see some more sample video and pics from the 2/3 fixed!
Just some ideas!
There is one thing I can tell you is still on track... Our relentless pursuit on mastering the art of successfully missing every single date we ever announce... that seems to be well on schedule.
I'm not a RED employee yet, but this is what I'd say from the outside looking in...
1: I think you'd hate to receive a 2/3" Scarlet in 2011
2: Why not just ask what it is?
3: It's RED...of course their are a million and maybe a few more features that haven't been discussed and we'll say "Brilliant!"
4: Good Question
5: Another good question
6: Optics are going to be great...that's the market that Jim's done quite well in.
7: There already has been a confirmation on a basic package for the Fixed Scarlet and I can't see them not doing it for the cinema Scarlet likewise. The S35 is a good 6-8 months out, and we shall take a look at that brain after we get some 2/3" specifics down.
8: Not the most pressing on my mind at the moment, but I'd suggest you go ahead and get the pelican with one of these... http://www.red.com/store/895-0001
9: You better believe they've done some intense testing with the EPIC.
10: It'll be here when they are ready. Don't tell me you don't like showing off your new toys when you have them ready for your friends.
