The ability to undercrank Scarlet at speeds from 1fps - 3fps would be monumentally useful to me. Would this be difficult to add as a feature?

Don't the specs say that Scarlet is undercrankable all the way down to 1 FPS already? Just no ramping or intervalometer function, it seems.

Doesn't the spec sheet say 1-120fps or 1-30fps depending on the model and max fps? That would mean that this is already planned. I don't know what RED is planning on but based on their spec sheet I would figure that it is planned.

Oh, if so, sorry. I didn't see that!

Excellent, if true!!

I'm assuming this is already the case but...

I hope the still mode is significantly less compressed and...

if the d200 has an intervalometer Scarlet should as well, even if it is an accessory so...

you should be able to shoot timelapse with significantly less compression, just no playback in camera because it would be too high a datarate, and just an image sequence, not a movie file.

I'm not too concerned about the still features. If I need to shoot some badass timelapse (long-exposure, for example) I will simply bust out my Canon DSLR. The new 5D Mark II is going to be so awesome... I can't wait.

A video camera that shoots compressed 3K+ RAW at 1 - 3 fps is totally ideal for daytime timelapse, or POV drivelapse style shooting. It will save massive wear and tear on DSLR shutters. :)
