Scarlet to EPIC/Dragon Upgrade PROS & CONS

Hi Guys,

I am trying to toss up whether or not to purchase a low priced Scarlet and upgrade to an EPIC or simply pay the extra for an actual EPIC. I have seen there is an upgrade for a Scarlet to an Epic and even a Scarlet to Dragon.

Does anyone know what the pros and cons are by doing this, as it seems a bit too good to be true. Any help would be much appreciated, thanks!
 
I've heard that if you get a scarlet and upgrade it to scarlet dragon you cant upgrade to epic dragoon. vs if you buy an epic you can upgrade to epic dragon. it may have changed tho. I have heard mixed reviews on which path gets you a dragon camera quickest. The upgrade scarlet to epic is literally a day or two, while the dragon updates are a week but backlogged obviously
 
warranty is the major factor here. you get 1 year going scarlet to epic... if you buy a new epic plus armor you get a much longer warranty. so saving the cash will come with a shorter warranty, period. using a business credit card when you upgrade can double it depending on who your provider is though.
