  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

I love the quality of the downrezzed SDI output. The footage i record off the SDI with the Atomos Samurai is gorgeous, but alas 1920x1080.
As far as i can judge, it's a true full debayer.

I have tried to downsize the same R3D footage using RCP to 1920x1080, full debayer, but i get a different result - more noise (sharpness?), slightly different look.

Question: In RCP there are about 6 or 8 of downscaling algorithms to choose from; which algorithm is used internally by the scarlet that (closely-) matches a RCP algorithm?

Thanks,

Martin

They have said a numbe of times that the SDI tap is a full debayer.

WOuld maybe be interesting to run a diff between that and a rocket debayer...
