Apologies if this has been covered already.

Does anyone know if when shooting 1080P the Scarlet is going to use the the whole sensor (like a 5DMKII) so preserving the FOV with 35mm lenses or will it crop according to the resolution you are shooting at?

Thanks

The published specs list a full frame 1080p mode, which should use the largest 16:9 area of the sensor, not cropped other than for aspect ratio. The 5DII crops for aspect ratio too.

Will that hold true for overcranking the camera as well, or will it only use a portion of the sensor for higher frame rates?

It depends on whether you change resolution to do it. 5k, 4k, 3k, and 2k all use different portions of the sensor.
