I plan todo bird and other wildlife videos using a Scarlet S35 with various Canon EF lenses, and I will probably shoot a lot at 2K in order to be able to produce smooth slo-mo using frame rates up to 72 fps.
My first question is: will the 2K option be down-sampled from the full-size sensor, or will it be a cropped portion of the sensor? This is important to me because a cropped version would give me more magnification factor for my Canon telephoto lenses.
Of course, it seems that it would be most desirable to be able to choose between a down-sampled full frame 2K and a cropped frame 2K. But does anybody know how it will actually work?
My second question is: When using the S35, what will the magnification factor be (in 35mm terms) for the full sized sensor when I'm using Canon EF lenses? And if the 2K option is cropped, then how much would this increase the magnification factor?
