Redmote will be great, but because our Scarlets will be placed high above an audience, I'd like to control the cameras from computers (ethernet or wifi). In the November 30th announcement, they list a couple features that sound promising:

7. Remote Camera control and recorded stills / movie transfer via Gigabit Ethernet.

24. Remote Camera control via 802.11 WiFi and REDlink wireless interfaces.

Any more information about these features yet? For example, how much control do we have? Can the camera be powered on and off from a computer? And what will the control interface be like? Can the media be transferred remotely, without touching a camera?

Another item of interest would be an ethernet/wifi live view. In addition to control, would it be possible to have a real-time or near-real-time video feed from the camera? Maybe at least a manually initiated still grab, even while recording?
