We set up our old RED on-board monitor on our new Scarlet. Everything was fine until we tried to play back. The image just scrolled up and the menus froze. Is this a known problem, will it be fixed in firmware updates?

Any reason why you aren't using the touchscreen?

I'm sure at some point there will be backwards support for the old LCD but for now as it's Alpha I'd say stick to the Touchscreen for now.

Thank you guys I figured it was an Alpha thing but wasn't sure. We were useing the old monitor because our touchscreen was out on a shoot with our epic and the one we ordered for the Scarlets hasn't shipped yet.

Though I think this is an issue everyone who is trying to save money by not getting the touchscreen and just using the side handle with the old on board should be aware of.
