Scarlet Panoramic Shots

Hi All,

Fellow Reduser Lliam Worthington and I went out for a test shoot recently and decided to play around with stitching panoramic shots (amongst other things). We thought it might be nice to create a thread where people can share panoramic shots they have created with the rest of the community.

We shot these on the Scarlet @ 5K 12fps with a fairly high shutter speed and simply panned on the tripod. Stills were then extracted as Tiff's and sent over to Photoshop to be stitched together and graded. No sharpening at all has been applied.

Canon 24-70L for the Rockpool (@24mm and f8 I think)

And a Contax 21mm (not sure of Fstop...Lliam?) for the second shot.

Oh and I'm looking forward to a get together with all the scarlet guys Josef

Second shot was 2.8 - which is wide open for the Contax 21. Very impressed by it.
Though to be honest, Brad and I were impressed by everything we shot with. Brad's canon 50 1.2 was pretty stellar I thought, but the contax 50 1.4 really held it's own also. And the Tokina really does just spend all day chewing bubblegum and taking names. We actually set out doing a whole comparison of the Zeiss Contax and Brad's Canon L glass. But after seeing results in Brad's suite, really common sense prevailed, which was... wow, it's just all so good.

For those who don't have the camera yet. There is A LOT to be excited about. I just want to shoot and shoot and shoot... I just keep opening images and going, look at that, look at that?! That's not video! That's cinema!

Can't wait to see everyone's work and journeys over the upcoming months and years. Going to be so much amazing work around. And really looking forward to catching up with everyone too Josef. As promised, I will post a proposed Sydney Scarlet user meet up date this week.
(Sorry to the Melb guys as my work down there hasn't eventuated yet)
