Scarlet MX Firmware V4 (Could anyone email me this?)

I have a friend and fellow producer who bought an older Scarlet MX a while back and didn't get a transfer of ownership. He's unable to contact the guy he bought it from and it still has firmware V3 on the camera (and hoping to bring it into the 21st or so century). I told him I'd help him out.

Anyone have access to an old firmware update for the Scarlet MX? He needs to get up to V4 to be able to upgrade the rest of the way to V6.

Are you sure you need v4 ?

Yeah my buddy has 3 currently and I guess he can't get to 5 without going through 4.

He might want to start the process of contacting RED directly. One benefit of the ownership transfer is clearing a serial number so there is no evidence it has been stolen. Perhaps RED could help with contacting the previous owner and get the transfer done. Otherwise he is persistently going to encounter this problem anyway.

And it used to cost $500, but I think now, it is free. Nothing to lose in transferring ownership, all positives.

it is free now indeed, if you don't want the warranty.
I didn't know that, they should have officially announced it, and put a sticky on the red gear market place
