Scarlet MX Accessories compatible with Scarlet-W

Hi,

I am interested in purchasing a scarlet-w and saving as many of my accessories as possible from my mx kit.
Does the side SSD from my MX work with the W. I.e. Does DSMC1 Accessories work on the Weapon.

Appreciate any info.

I am about 99% sure that Side SSD modules from DSMC1 will not work with any DSMC2 camera. Thinking through it, I can't see what that would help since removing it from your MX makes that camera inoperable. So, if you sell the MX, someone else has to buy a new SSD module. If you keep the MX, you have to buy a second one anyway. The upside, I guess, is that SSD modules might be cheap going forward. Heck, if you want to buy one for your W, I'll sell you mine. lol

As for other modules, I don't think there are very many. Take a tour through the RED store and I think it becomes obvious in most cases. Anything with an electrical connection is suspect. Old LCDs will work with an adaptor.

The "Side SSD" module on the DSMC2 descriptions read: "Integrated Media Bay".
I think the Integrated part means that it's now part of the body and not interchangeable.

Good spot with integrated media bay. Doesn't seem like any DSMC1 accessories are compatible.
Will just sell for parts.

Correct, all the modules are no longer compatible. If you have any of the action products pieces though they mentioned in another thread that they were making a new proteus and everything you have that sits behind that will still be functional on the new brains.
