Is there any way to estimate low light performance of Scarlet compared to a 5D or 7D at 3200 ISO with an F1.4 lens?
(something really common like a 50mm F1.4 or 35mm F1.4)
I remember Ted mentioning the Scarlet shooting 6400 ISO, then saying it would go up to 13,000 ISO
during an interview online, and of course HDRX is a given at this point if need be.
I assume the final answer depends on whether Scarlet stays a 2/3" sensor and is a 3K or 4K resolution and the frame rate
(lets assume range of 24-60fps)... If Scarlet turns out to be a 4K sensor, I also assume the low light performance to
be slightly worse as each pixel becomes smaller?
I ask because with Winter almost here, low light performance is much more of an issue during
exterior shots in colder climates, with poor light to begin with.
I know you can't expect miracles and need lights period,
but maybe someone (Maybe Joseph H or Ketch) with experience with shooting 2/3" sensors can comment
about realistic expectations from what they see so users can plan for essential lighting accordingly.
Thanks for any feedback and best wishes to Red for an awesome launch tomorrow.
