I've got my Scarlet and monitor but minus a side handle so I can't use the red volt batteries. I want to shoot a simple short film this weekend in the field as a test so I need to come up with an ad hoc power solution. I've got a Red XLR power adapter cable I can borrow. Can anyone suggest a power solution? Eg some sort of XLR battery I can hire? It doesn't have to mount on the camera. The camera will always be on a tripod. It's a slow, easy shoot so I can just run the cable to the battery on the ground. Any suggestions would be welcome. Thanks guys.

I have the Red cable with the 4 prong XLR on the end attached to a new Anton Bauer Hytron 140. It runs the camera about 2.5 to 3 hours. The older the battery the less time.

Jerry, I have one of those cables. What sort of mount are you using to attach the battery to your camera? I don't own any Anton Bauer or V-Lock batteries yet so I'm deciding which way to go. I have no idea which battery type is better.
