Hey fellas and ladies...
I will be shooting some green screen dance shots for a music video soon. I don't have tons of experience with green screen. The few green screen gigs I have done have worked well but I would really like to max the use of this footage. This is just one element to a much bigger project...but it could be a very cool element. Can you lend me some advice on setup.
I will be using my Scarlet. I have lots of lighting (flolights, Arri Fresnels, Color changing LEDS, and maybe some of the new Arri L7-C Leds) and know how to light them properly. I'll make sure they are far enough away from the screen I don't have any spill.
The lenses I will have on set are a Canon 70-200 2.8 II, a Zeiss 50mm 1.4, a Canon 16-35, and a Tamron 24-70 2.8.
I was planning on doing most of it with the Zeiss. What is my target F stop and shutter speed I should go for to get a great key. I am thinking I should close down to about 5.6. I will be shooting at 24P...but would anyone suggest going with a lower resolution and high frame rate...or is just adjusting the shutter in 24P the way to go. How would you set your shutter? Any help, tips, or good links would be much appreciated.
ps...Title meant to say "Scarlet green screen, please advise"
