  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Hello All,

Like previous stated in another thread, I own and operate an aerial drone film company and im looking to the experts for some advice.

My industry focus is extreme sports which involves mostly low, close, and long filming. from what I see in regards to the Scarlet and slow motion, I am wondering if it is right for me

Within my industry, I can only imagine that there is some disappointment in regards to the Scarlet's cost, and weight. But since I can lift around 20lbs and can get a insurance plan, im willing to fly if its right for me.

My question is - How will the Scarlet perform being flown low and fast over snow, water, and land? The video I normally capture is often slowed down by editors. Also in every extreme sports video ive seen, the video is always slowed down and you never see it in real time.

From what I understand, the larger sensor will be better in-regards to the amount of captured information, but in the same breath because of the larger sensor and larger information file, I will not be able to slow the video down to the FPS I want and still keep anything close to the 4k ?

From what I see;
1-12 fps 5K FF
1-30 fps 4K HD
1-48 fps 3K HD
1-60 fps 1080p HD
1-120 fps 1K

I often shoot in 60Fps with my gopro and T2i, which is at 720p. I understand i am very ignorant in regards to this but can someone help explain to me what im actually looking at?

So instead of making the same mistake twice and dropping a bunch of cash on a camera that might not be right, Im wondering what you all think? Im guessing its a FPS VS. Resolution problem?

Thank you
Bill C
