I have a very important job coming up in Chicago and the client wants the scarlet we are using at the current BUILD. The owner of the camera does not have ownership transfer of the camera so he cant update it. The camera is on build 4.0.18 and the client wants 5.3.42 and i have no idea how im going to do this. any thoughts?

Easiest thing would be the current owner contacts RED (with details of the previous owner) - or the current owner gets the previous owner to contact RED.

I agree with Bob, a bit negligent really - that build is long in the tooth.

I am just curious what kind of client cares about the exact firmware in a camera. I can assure you that none of my clients even know what firmware is. Rent the brain they want and pass that cost on to them?

5.3.42 is the latest stable firmware at the moment. It sounds like that client is informed and does care about whats going on with the tools of his choice. Thats a good thing if you ask me.
