  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Scarlet / Epic raincoat

I'm trying to find the Elaine Fasula cover on-line. It looks great in Mark's post but can't find a site for her - unless she's an artist who likes to keep quiet about her camera covers - anyone know how to contact her?

Issue with sand/rain covers in Desert heat is they often end up acting like an oven. Hope there are plans for an all white model.

We rater have heat issues Andrew, then cameras covered in sand fine dust, Epic has proven time and again that can withstand very COLD and very HOT temperatures...
But dust is a different animal, especially when is as thin as the one we found in the deserts of Dubai and near by Emirates, so next time I'll use a Rain cover no problem... ;)

Our cameras have gone to plus 45º Celsius Minus 25º Celsius, and went form 35º Celsius strait to -5º and gone recording no problems, of this we are very happy,
of the fine dust particles we needed to clean up... No so much... ;)

Hi Ketch,

Are you using the touchscreen in the cold, or going to 3rd party weather-rated screens and evf like Zacuto?

I assume the touchscreen is less responsive in extreme cold?

Any updates on this whole topic of rain protection for Epic and Scarlet? Is the rain coat mentioned in this thread available? Are there any other competitors out there?

Thanks.

Update: I got a quick and through email back from Elsainer after emailing the address on her web site. The rain coat looks good and believe I will be ordering one!!
