Is there any information on the details of the bug ? What is it causing or ceasing to occur ?

I think I read it was a firmware bug if that helps, but thats the most information they mentioned, and I bet their firmware is pretty long and complex.

I doubt it'll be a massive set back, may 3 or 4 months...But that's just speculation. As yet, none of us know the specific nature of the bug...well, maybe Joseph does :laugh:

No, they've done the right thing, telling us that there is a problem.

It's none of our business what it is and they could inadvertently give away trade secrets if they went into too much detail.

Transparency is great, but they need to protect themselves.

It's ready when it's ready. Until then let's go make movies with the tools we have today!

Hey, I don't suppose there is anymore news?? Keep hearing good things about the Epic on here, but no new news about this bug... Any updates??

I am planing a trip to the States at the end of the year and was originally hoping to bring back a Scarlet... Probably not going to happen now right??

Hi Jonathan, no new news. Based on the recent Scarlet update I'm thinking end of the year may not happen for Scarlet. :-(

Still hoping for Epic in the next couple of months but that's clearly in jeopardy as well.

and they could inadvertently give away trade secrets if they went into too much detail.

correct ... they most certainly have very valid reasons for not throwing all the information out indiscriminately
