  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Scarlet & Epic 120FPS Tests with rain

I would guess the 2nd shot, fireman running towards camera, is shot on Scarlet. It's a guess, though. What's the answer?

I'm guessing the guy with a helmet is shot on Scarlet, and the guy without is shot on Epic. But hard to tell when so much of the picture is out of focus

I guess the answer is, if your final format is YouTube, Scarlet is just as good for firemen in the rain!

Not really a fair test given that the shot's in motion and the subject is silhouetted. I'm curious why some shots look softer than the others though, but I guess it's just focus or compression / youtube upload or something

night and day difference between both dudes running.... the water droplets are virtually a blurred wash in the 1k scarlet shot... in the epic shot.. you can pause the video and count the drops of rain...

i stopped at 478.

mainly because i had to get back to work.

why anyone uses youtube anymore for showing footage is beyond me, vimeo or go home I say. Also might wanna work on your export workflow.
