Scarlet Dragon Upgrade - Same Price in EU as in US?

The Scarlet Dragon Upgrade in the Red Online Store is listed as $9500. As this is effectively a service rather than an object does this mean that the EU/UK price is $9500 vs the exchange rate, i.e. £6205?

Well it's a new sensor, so probably no. Even though the customs might not be able to tell the difference I don't think Red is willing to take that risk on behalf of their buyers. So sadly it doesn't seem very likely.

What i'm getting at is that the 'parts' cost is not the total cost of the upgrade, right? I'll email Red Europe...

It isn't that high, not sure if I'm allowed to post the actual GBP price, but safe to say Red Europe have it and will be happy to provide if asked

So right now that's £8,058.

Why on earth wouldn't you be allowed to post the price?

Well, I presume the price also includes the extra duty on film/video/electronics... that normally accounts for any extra.

VAT's reclaimable, so ignoring that, it's about £650 over current $ to £ conversion rates.
