  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Scarlet Dragon Spec Sheet

Thanks for posting this info Cameron. Could you edit the original post to show the info in an easier to read color like white? Currently, it's gray text over a slightly lighter gray background and difficult to read on portable devices.

Hi, does anyone can tell me why the lens coverage of the Scalet Dragon upgrade is 25.6mm (h) x 13.5mm (v) x 28.9 mm (d), instead of 27.7mm (h) x 14.6mm (v) x 31.4 mm (d) like EpicX if the active area of the sensor is the same of EpicX 5120 (h) x 2700 (v) ??

Because it's a different sensor with smaller pixels (5 microns vs 5,4 on the MX).

Not sure 100% but the ratio should be 5,4/5=1,08. So you multiply each MX crop factor by 1,08.
4k crop factor on MX is 1,63, on Dragon it should be 1,76.
5K MX is 1,3, on Dragon it should be 1,4.
For info, 3 perf super35 is 24,9mm x 13,9mm. 5k on dragon is almost the same crop factor as s35.
