Can anyone tell me what is the best setting for my fan on my Scarlet Dragon? I would like it to be mainly quiet during recording, then fan on during preview. However I noticed a message saying I had to manually monitor the sensor temp and I'm not sure if that a good thing to do. Is adaptive mode best? I'm using the new beta firmware by the way. Any suggestions?

Adaptive is king, I never switch it off

I got it on quite during recording. Monitoring the sensor-temp is something to keep in mind when you have long shots, otherwise you don't need to care. You keep an eye on it to avoid situations where the sensor-temp gets too high for your current blackshade. That's all. There is no need to fear damaging the camera. If it hits ciritical temps it will increase fan-speed no matter how you have set it.

Adaptive is a great mode too.

Then only suggestion I can do is use adaptive mode with the temp set to 70C. If you need a quieter camera you could improove the cooling by using the FanPlate and bottom fan V1.
