Curious to see photos of the design. For instance, does it have XLR inputs?

Cool. Thanks. Too bad no BNC cables. guess the audio is just for reference.

OUCH! They look like mini jacks to me :-( I thought we had mini XLR with phantom??? I sure hoped we have pro audio features on board....

When the pro I/O module comes out, all of the ports you need will be on it. No mini xlr, now it's just straight xlr

The Scarlet and EPIC both have two balanced microphone inputs on the front of the brain. Those 3.5 mm jacks on the front have the same connections as an XLR connector. All you need to plug in proper microphones is a breakout cable, correctly wired, or something like the A-Box from Wooden Camera. These jacks are NOT standard microphone jacks. The last I heard, RED had disabled the phantom power on these inputs because people were killing mics which were designed for regular mic inputs in the jacks. Personally, I hope they restore it soon.

Not sure where to post this. I want to know if anyone plans on using the scarlet in the Red Rock Cinema Bundle? Im not sure of the dimensions of the scarlet? Any idea please?

Thanks
Owen

The Scarlet X pictures we've seen so far are the final product? I ask because the SSD module doesn't match the color of the body(Charcoal grey/Black) and is the flat plate on the opposite final as well .....

The SCARLET-X brain is not black, it's gray. (RED calls it "Battleship Gray.") All the accessories, however, are black.
