  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

I think it's best if we try to keep everything on the REDuser forum. It's seems more official and 'permanent' that way. The life of a Google Docs spreadsheet is only as long as the owner of the Google Account chooses it to be. And that typically isn't permanent. :-)

"THE LIST" is all in once place. We don't need a bunch of threads for info that's already on that list, IMO. Adding a column for names is a great idea. I'd refer to the list before I searched for a new thread to find camera names...
 
I'd say both would be good to have... Not every person posting who has ordered a scarlet has their info on the List, and not everyone who has their SO on it has kept their status current. Likewise, not everyone who has their info on the list will post here.
The list itself is a little confusing to the uninitiated with the unlocked and locked versions.

I think a central list is a good idea. What I'm trying to say is, a Google Docs spreadsheet on someone's personal Google Account doesn't seem like a very good long-term permanent solution. In my opinion, I trust that the data here on REDuser - managed by administrators - is a better long-term solution than a spreadsheet on someone else's Google Account that could disappear at any moment.

Of course, it's silly to argue about where to keep a list of Scarlet names...
