  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

We've seen images recorded with Scarlet, but not much audio, so I recorded audio with my Scarlet. Oktava mike, Sound Devices Mixpre (which only has line level output), Hosa -40dB attenautor and Hosa XLR to TRS adapter. Scarlet audio was set to balanced, levels on Scarlet were set so the mixpre 1kHz test tone just went into the yellow range on scarlet level meters. Recorded 2k on Scarlet, 18:1 redcode. Converted to MP4 in Sony Vegas, no adjustments to audio in Vegas. Uploaded here: http://vimeo.com/35924296
IMHO the Scarlet audio sounds great. I'm sure there are plenty of other components that work, but just wanted to share this as one set that I tested.
