The A/R looks too vertically stretched...

Images have a a nice warm/retro look to them.

If you're using X1.5 - the image should desqueeze into 16:9 (1920x1080) - but if it's X2, it's something like 1920X560 (somebody will need to correct me on that!)... this then gives the ultra wide thing seen on so many recent promos. So you then have to zoom back into the image to get the anamorphic standard ratio - again, from memory something like 1920X816.

Quick rescale is attached - this would need to be zoomed in order to have the normal widesceen/ana ratio.

Yeah, Andy's got it... 16:9 = 1.77 x 1.5(isco ana) = 2.66:1, which would need to be cropped/zoomed to 2.4:1 (or 2.35:1). Needless to say, 1.5x is better than the traditional 2x anamorphic for preserving resolution... Until RED give us ANA modes (on Scarlet) anyway.

Jarred said there ll be no ANA modes on Scarlet..Engin i tested V-Lites on Epic they look awesome you can rent them from rental house.

Why you gotta crush my dreams, Kem? Why? Did he say this recently, or when it was first announced?

Seriously though, what about WS modes... For example, 4.5k WS (ala R1mx) or 5k WS (which should fit within SX pixel read-rate limitations)

If thats really not going to happen, then we aren't totally screwed. All we need is a monitor that allows custom aspect ratios to get a corrected preview. DSLR-shooters use the SmallHD DP6, it looks like this works nicely. Well and everything else can be done in post...

The hardest part of shooting anamorphic is getting decent anamorphic glass. ;)

i am using second monitor for streching the image. TVLOGIC has the feature and i really love this monitor.
Kemalettin thanks for the suggestion but ISCO is in my lens collection and ready to use every time:)
and i think the best part of this ISCO lens is the softness. RED images are so sharp and this lens gives natural softness to the image.
